This lovely custom home is perched on a hill overlooking one of Antrim County's jewels...Green Lake.

Rugged stone and warm natural wood grace Fox Woods from the inside out. The interior and exterior feature the warm cozy feeling of wood, it has expansive views from the deck allowing breathtaking pastoral views of the surrounding lake. The tastefully decorated interior and great room area is inviting complimenting a majestic two-story floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, you will feel right at home. The interior look is completed with a custom log stairway and cedar railings. A favorite place for family portraits.

With beautiful furnishings and attention to detail, this home provides the perfect retreat for our family and friends .Located on the northwest side of the state about 30 min NE of Traverse City. We have had family & friends from California, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin...Canada visit us and every one has found it worth every minute it took to get to this perfect destination. 

In 2004 while exploring the area, Patrick and I happened across this little lake.  We dumped in our little zodiac and went on a 'cruise'. We fell in love. We came back a second and third time and met one of the folks who own a home in the 3 Lakes Club community and started asking questions. There was a piece of property for sale. The rest is history.

We decided that this is the area we want to retire to...so we took the leap bought the property. In 2007 we started to build our 'dream home'. We now enjoy sharing our home with family and friends, those who have the same respect and appreciation for Northwest Michigan as we do.

The area is well wooded and gated, so it is safe. It is brimming with wildlife.  Deer, Fox, Turkey...even Eagles snagging fish from the lake are a common sight.

In the summer we enjoy kayaking, paddle boating, fishing and hiking or my favorite...just enjoying the peace and quiet with a good book on the deck.

In the winter downhill skiing is less than 10 minutes away, cross country skiing & snowshoeing right outside the door. There are snowmobile trails all over and Antrim County, which also allows travel by machines on all shoulders of the roads to get to  those miles and miles of groomed trails. Of course, at the end of the day there is nothing we enjoy better than the perfect snow, the beauty of Green Lake and warmth of a fire with family and friends.

My Mom calls it "idyllic"...and we can't seem to find a better word.

We enjoy spectacular views from every room whether it is the reflection of trees on its glassy surface or frozen and snow covered in the winter.  Fox Woods is breathtaking at all times.

The total living space is just over 3500 square feet. There are 3 wood burning fireplaces, one in the great room, one in the walkout (unfinished at this time) and one outdoors, under the deck.

If the weather is uncooperative the home has Direct TV, board games and is minutes away from the Bellaire Movie Theater or we can run into town and rent some DVD's.

While Green Lake is not an All Sports lake there are plenty of places we boat. We always encourage exploration in the area and hope that you find the time visit Torch Lake, Clam Lake, Lake Bellaire, Intermediate Lake, Grand Traverse Bay, Petoskey and the East Jordan River Valley, all which offer beautiful clear water and the 'excitement' of larger lakes. The Grass River area is gorgeous Natural protective area and connects Bellaire Lake to the Clam Lake and leads to Torch Lake...in fact, all of the lakes lead to the Grand Traverse Bay. This area is well known as the "Chain of Lakes" . We recommend you think about renting a Pontoon or Power Boat to tour the area.

We spend a lot of time on Green Lake as well as the other beautiful lakes in the area. In fact, we keep our Zodiac close at hand for exploring the region. In the many years we have been in this area, we have not run out of new places to explore. There are plenty of activities for us to enjoy all year round.
