As this is our home we request that as our guests you treat it as you would your own. Please respect the surroundings the home is located in and our neighbors.
This is a small quiet community. We like it that way. No loud or obnoxious behavior.
Fishing on Green Lake
We request you practice catch and release, this includes the frogs and turtles. While they are abundant, they are an important part of the eco system of Green Lake. The lake does have a public access, so it is used by locals as well. If you see instances of abuse, please let us know we will report it to the proper authorities.
At the waters edge you will find a paddle boat and kayaks for enjoyment. As with all the other items we request that you use it with the same care you would give your own personal possessions. We urge you exercise consideration for our premises, the environment and our neighbors. Please practice diligence monitoring small children as well as the teens. Practice water safety on or about the waters edge. Life jackets are in the mudroom and we request you use them.
Campfires
Occasionally there are fire restrictions. As always be careful with campfires and make sure they are extinguished before leaving them unattended. This is of course because of the danger of forest fires. There is a bucket to make sure all fires are extinguished.
This is a very quiet and serene place, there are 3 year round residents including us and other members of our community that might be at their homes during your stay with us, especially on holiday weekends. Please no littering, no cutting down of trees...no loud or raucous parties and please no fireworks. Please be considerate of our neighbors. There is a self imposed community speed limit of 5 mph there are often hikers, children and pets.
There is State owned land
across the lake that can be accessed by the Lake Access entrance off of Elder
Road and plenty of roadways West on Elder Road. There are TONS of trails.
We want everyone to have a safe and relaxing vacation.
Pets
Sorry at this time we do not allow your pets at Fox Woods.
You will find that we are HUGE dog people. We own and operate a Pet Resort in the Metro Detroit area and locally.
Go to Meadowpond Pet Resort. We have luxury suites with outdoor access.
Satellite TV is service through Direct TV.
Internet Service for those of you who need to access the internet we have put a signal booster in the home to improve the signal on cell phones and those of you with Blackberry and GSM cards.
Telephone We do have a land line and there is long distance within the United States only please. Any out of the country calls made during your stay will be billed to your credit card..
You do not need to bring linens.
