As this is our home we request that you treat it as you would your own. You will have a contact phone number available to you should you run into any issues or have questions during your stay. Please do not hesitate to call. Please remove your shoes when you enter the home. There are mats by each entrance to place your shoes on. The area is very sandy this will keep sand out of the home. We have prepared an instruction sheet for the basics. Just in case. Everything is pretty modern and may take you a moment to figure out. Believe it or not the only thing that is a hassle to fix is the satellite TV if the wrong buttons are pushed...so there are instructions. Fishing on Green Lake We request you practice catch and release, this includes the frogs and turtles. While they are abundant, they are an important part of the eco system of Green Lake. The lake does have a public access, so it is used by locals as well. If you see instances of abuse, please document them and leave the information on the kitchen counter prior to your departure, we will report it to the proper authorities. At the waters edge you will find a paddle boat and kayaks for your enjoyment. As with all the other items we have available for your stay here, we request that you use it with the same care you would give your own personal possessions. Our home, it contents and the beautiful lake it overlooks and the community it sits within is yours for the time you are in it, we urge you exercise consideration for the premises, the environment and our neighbors. Please practice diligence monitoring small children as well as the teens. Practice water safety on or about the waters edge. Life jackets are in the black dock box and we request you use them. Campfires Occasionally there are fire restrictions. If this is the case we will leave notice. As always be careful with campfires and make sure they are extinguished before leaving them unattended. This is of course because of the danger of forest fires.
It is very quiet and serene most of the time, however, there are 2 year round residents and other members of our community that might be there during your stay, especially on holiday weekends. We ask no littering, no cutting down of trees...no loud or raucous parties and please no fireworks. Please be considerate of our neighbors. ATV's can be used inside or outside the boundaries of the community speed limits of 5mph are requested as there are often hikers.
There is State owned land
across the lake that can be accessed by the Lake Access entrance off of Elder
Road and plenty of roadways West on Elder Road. There are TONS of trails. Pets Sorry at this time we do not allow pets. Even though you will find that we are HUGE dog people. We own a Pet Resort in the Metro Detroit area. If you are from the Tri County area we will board your pet at our 5 star facility at no charge. If you choose to board your pet in town there is a pet boarding facility nearby.
Mancelona Veterinary Hospital has a
very nice boarding facility. Satellite TV is service through Dish Network. Internet Service for those of you who need to access the internet we have put a signal booster in the home to improve the signal on cell phones and those of you with Blackberry and GSM cards. Telephone We do have a land line and there is long distance within the United States only please. Any out of the country calls made during your stay will be billed to your credit card.. Linens. We don't expect you to launder the linens, any soiled towels can be left in the laundry room. A cleaning crew arrives shortly after your departure. Reminder, your stay is from Saturday to Saturday unless other arrangements have been made and the check out time is 11 AM unless otherwise indicated on your lease agreement. A cleaning service arrives at 12:00 noon on your departure day to prepare the house for our return or the next guests. Any trash that is bagged can be disposed of at the Leonard Road entrance/exit and put in the box receptacle. You turn LEFT off of Lost Lake Trail, go past Eagle Ridge continue until you find the gated exit on Leonard Rd. It is about 1.5 miles. Please do NOT leave trash in or outside the house. There is wildlife that will tear into bags and make a mess. |
